Explore the Outdoors

This is not your average walk in the park, so pack your hiking boots! Taking you from the Pacific Coast and through the Rockies, we will be hiking, camping, canoeing, surfing and so much more.

Theme-Based Learning

Throughout your four weeks, we will explore the themes of environmental stewardship, indigenous knowledge and outdoor education.  Each theme will allow you to further expand your understanding of our interconnectedness as we move forward into a more globalized world.

Program Outcomes & Certifications

  • Explore the wonders of the Canadian from the Pacific Coast to the Rockies
  • Gain understanding of Traditional Indigenous Knowledge at the Cheakamus Centre and Buffalo Nations Museum
  • Strengthen your commitment to environmental stewardship
  • Complete an SDG Academy’s  ‘Climate Change: Solutions for a Changing Planet’ course
  • Complete Wilderness First-Aid Training

Who is this program for?

• Individuals looking to explore their passions and develop life skills outside the classroom •

• Students who have decided to take a gap semester this fall •

• Recent high school graduates looking for an exciting adventure opportunity •

How It Works

Step 1

You're already doing it! 

Take a look through our program pages on our website to find the program that's right for you. 


Step 2

Book a call with one of our amazing program advisors. They will be able to give you more information and answer any questions you may have.

Step 3

Complete your application and return it to your advisor. We will be in touch in 3-5 business days to let you know if you have been accepted to our program.

Step 4

Pay your expedition deposit and pack your bags! (Don’t worry, we’ll give you a recommended packing list).

Step 5

Arrive in Vancouver to meet your fellow travellers. We will pick you up at the airport and take you to join our Welcome event!
