Position Summary 

Travel Program Facilitators support 4- to 14-day educational travel programs for middle and secondary school students across Canada and internationally. Facilitators support trip logistics, liaise with local partners and chaperones, and lead student reflections and dialogue throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities

The right candidate will be a creative problem solver who is excited about empowering youth through immersive learning experiences. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating engaging educational programming and student dialogue
  • Coordinating with local partners, chaperones, and the Insight team
  • Ensuring student safety and wellbeing throughout programs
  • Supporting trip logistics and problem-solving as challenges arise

Role Requirements

  • Availability to travel for 1–2 weeks at a time between January–June and September–November
  • Availability to attend mandatory paid training in early December 2026*
  • Passion for youth engagement and experiential education
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence facilitating large groups
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work long program days

* Training includes emergency preparedness, dialogue facilitation, and cross-cultural conflict resolution. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in French or Spanish, in addition to English (strong asset)
  • Interest in facilitating recurring Canadian programs (strong asset)
  • Experience working with youth, facilitation, or educational travel
  • Certifications in lifeguarding (strong asset), first aid, wilderness first aid, or mental health training

Hiring Priority

While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, priority will be given to candidates fluent in French or Spanish and/or interested in facilitating recurring programs in Ontario, Quebec, and the Yukon, as well as other North American destinations.

Compensation & Additional Information

  • Compensation ranges from $200–300 CAD per day, including training days
  • Facilitators typically travel 1–2 days before student arrival
  • Criminal record checks and basic first aid certification are required (costs reimbursed)
