Assistant Marketing Coordinator

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and proactive marketer to help tell Insight’s story.

Whether you’re an emerging marketing professional looking for your first full-time role or someone with a few years of experience, this early career role offers the opportunity to work across digital marketing, brand strategy, events, and content creation while contributing to a mission-driven organization.

Working within the Marketing Team, you will support business development, create compelling marketing assets, and ensure every interaction with the Insight brand reflects who we are.

Position Details

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Full time

Location: Remote based in Pacific to Eastern time zones

Benefits: Commensurate with location

Supervisor: Marketing Director

Paid Time Off: 15 days annually

Salary: Commensurate with location and experience

Anticipated range if in Canada: $57k CAD to $63k CAD

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Digital Marketing

  • Lead Generation & Digital Marketing
  • Support lead generation initiatives across multiple channels
  • Draft email marketing campaigns and newsletters in line with a content strategy
  • Update mailing lists
  • Monitor email marketing performance and prepare quarterly performance reports
  • Support promotional campaigns for strategic initiatives
  • Track campaign performance and recommend improvements

Brand Marketing & Campaigns

  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Support storytelling initiatives reflective of experiences in the field
  • Support seasonal campaigns and product launches
  • Support direct mail initiatives including postcards and print collateral
  • Contribute to guidelines for brand positioning
  • Develop tools that encourage brand-consistent and integrated messaging
  • Support the delivery of internal brand workshops including brand voice, persona, story, and reputation

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Manage Insight’s social media presence
  • Contribute to a social media content strategy
  • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar
  • Schedule content through Meta Business Suite
  • Catalogue and coordinate photography and video assets
  • Monitor social analytics and prepare quarterly performance reports
  • Stay current on platform trends and best practices

Website

  • Update website copy in line with SEO best practices
  • Publish blogs in line with a content strategy
  • Source, tag, and optimize imagery
  • Monitor website analytics and present quarterly performance reports
  • Update webpages as needed

Brand Assets & Design

  • Annual Program Guide
  • Posters
  • Presentation templates
  • Information session slide decks
  • Field guides
  • Parent and student itinerary templates
  • Template social posts
  • Landing pages
  • Postcards

Conferences & Events

  • Support conference sourcing, planning, and logistics in line with a conference strategy
  • Contribute to marketing budgets and KPI tracking in line with a marketing strategy
  • Coordinate print materials and promotional assets
  • Coordinate swag sourcing and inventory
  • Support pre- and post-conference follow-ups and events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences or team meetings
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and shared success
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, PhotoShop, Acrobat), WordPress, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Canva, and Meta Business Suite
  • Must be based in Pacific to Eastern time zones
  • Must have a valid passport with the ability to travel to Canada and the USA
Additional Qualifications

The following qualifications are not required but considered an asset:

  • Experience with CRMs, Lead Tracking and Conversions
  • Photography or videography experience
  • Experience in education, travel, nonprofit or experiential learning
  • Additional language proficiency is an asset, though English fluency is prioritized
