Travel from Los Angeles to Kanab, Utah.

Take a ride in a comfortable 4×4 vehicle to your campsite in the sunset-colored rocks of Utah. Set up camp and get oriented with the skills you will need to navigate in the backcountry. Get to know the landscape and each other around an evening campfire. As the stars come out, learn the best tips and tricks for smartphone astrophotography.

If you’re a morning person, start your day with an optional yoga class in the open air. Then get to know the land with a natural history hike led by a local naturalist guide. Be impressed by breathtaking vistas and otherworldly canyons as your group treks on an easy trail through the backcountry. Enjoy a picnic lunch out on your hike before you return to your campsite for the evening and another starry campfire.

Begin your day with yoga to stretch out any sore muscles after your hike yesterday. Today you will not only take in the views of the famous rock formations but learn about their inner workings. Head out on a geology hike that brings you up close and personal with the why and how of the expansive geography of the area.

Join in your morning yoga class to ground yourself after fun-filled days learning with the land. Spend the morning at your campsite engaging further with your local naturalist guides and competing in friendly campsite competitions. Jump back in your comfortable 4×4 vehicle to travel out of the campsite and back into the modern world.

Begin your journey home.
